Hello, this is Hiroshi Yamamoto 🐻 from Kakikofu.
Recently, by a twist of fate, my wife and I appeared in a short documentary film.
With the director’s permission, I’d like to share a little about it here.
It seems to be a short documentary introducing traditional medicine from around the world.
We feel truly honored that Kakikofu was chosen to represent the Japanese traditional medicine section, focusing on Kampo and acupuncture.
The director is a renowned Thai filmmaker known for socially conscious works.
The director–cinematographer is from Bangladesh, and the camera operator is American.
The filming was carried out by a small, international team that included both American and Japanese staff.
It was a rare and precious opportunity that we will never forget.
Originally, the shoot was planned for just one day, but when the director learned about my wife’s heart condition and LVAD surgery, he expressed a strong desire to portray the real-life coexistence of modern and traditional medicine.
As a result, an additional day of filming was added.
Over two days, we completed interviews and filmed scenes from our actual clinical work.
It was quite an experience, and we are grateful that everything went smoothly.
We are now eagerly looking forward to seeing how the final film turns out.
